Starlink Mini: stores vs starlink.com

Starlink Mini store prices, dated

We could not read current Best Buy, Home Depot or Sam's Club Mini prices on Nov 4, 2026, so the store figures below are the latest dated reports we have, not live prices. Every store price here needs a check on the store’s own site, from a US address, before you buy.

The Oct 2 price cut on starlink.com is the reason for the gap. Starlink cut the Mini Kit to $149 on starlink.com on Oct 2, 2026, according to Tesla North (Oct 2, 2026), and Starlink's US order list still showed $149 on Nov 4, 2026. Stores had not followed by the October reports.

Starlink’s retailer list

Starlink's US retailer list has 16 names: big-box and electronics stores (Walmart, Best Buy, Sam's Club, Home Depot, Nebraska Furniture Mart, PC Richards), outdoor, farm and boating stores (Cabela's, Bass Pro Shops, Tractor Supply, West Marine), RV and antenna makers (Thor Industries, Winegard Company), plus Amazon, Boost Mobile, Cost U Less and Microcom. Every one of them sells the genuine Starlink Mini Kit. On Amazon, check who the seller is: a listing sold by someone other than Amazon is a reseller, and Starlink treats reseller kits like store kits. Starlink doesn’t publish which store locations have the Mini in stock, so if you search “Starlink Mini for sale near me”, call the Tractor Supply or Bass Pro Shops before you drive over.

What’s the same either way

• The warranty. Starlink’s limited warranty on the Mini Kit runs 12 months from purchase in the US, whether you bought it on starlink.com or from a store on its list.
• The hardware. Stores on Starlink’s list sell the same Starlink Mini Kit.
• The plan. You activate a store kit with Starlink on the same Roam plans, at Starlink’s list prices. The Mini plans guide covers which tier fits.

What a store kit can’t get

• The referral credit. The kit and plan must be bought directly on starlink.com; store, reseller, used and transferred kits don't earn the reward. Starlink only records a referral for an order placed on starlink.com through the link, and there's no way to attach one afterwards.
• The Activation Benefit. Starlink adds an Activation Benefit automatically at checkout to new Mini kits ordered on starlink.com in the US, and doesn't say what it's worth. Starlink describes it only for starlink.com orders. What we know about it.
• Starlink’s return window. Kits bought from a store or reseller are returned through that store, not Starlink. A starlink.com order follows Starlink’s own policy. Details for both are on Mini returns.

One point in the stores’ favor: Starlink charges shipping and handling on kit orders, and that charge is not refundable. We don’t have a dated shipping figure, so compare the totals on both order pages, not just the sticker price. In-store pickup, where a store has stock, also gets it into your hands sooner.

When would a store kit come out ahead?

Only when its year-one total beats starlink.com’s, and none did at the last check. On Nov 4, 2026, starlink.com charged $149 for the kit; the newest dated store reports (Oct 6, 2026) had $249. The plan costs the same either way, so the gap is the kit price plus Starlink’s $100 referral credit, which only a qualifying starlink.com order can earn and which comes off service bills from the second invoice (our arithmetic).

A buyer who doesn’t qualify for the credit, for example because they’ve had Starlink before, compares the kit prices alone: a store has to undercut $149, give or take sales tax and shipping.

Over a year on Roam 100GB, the store kit at $249 costs $200 more than starlink.com with the credit (our arithmetic). The bigger the plan, the less that gap matters as a share of the year, but it doesn’t shrink in dollars.

Black Friday: last year’s store deals

As of Nov 4, 2026, neither Starlink nor any store has announced a Black Friday 2026 Mini price we can cite. Here is what stores did last year, for reference:

A store would need to cut far deeper than last year to beat starlink.com’s year-one total. It could happen. If you see it, check that the seller is the store itself, and buy it there.

Already bought one in a store?

Then Starlink won’t attach a referral to it, and that’s fine: the Mini works the same. Keep the receipt for the store’s return policy and the warranty. Our guide for store buyers covers activation and what you can still do.
